The bursae are a fluid sacs that reduce friction or rubbing in the tissues of the hip. Bursitis of the hip is when the bursae become irritated or inflamed, causing hip pain.

  • Hip pain that is worse after long walks
  • Hip pain that is worse after climbing stairs
